If we're going to make the internet work well, I think we bloggers are going to have to set the bar higher than where it is currently. Here's my ethics statement:
On the rare occasion I do any promotion for a movie, it will be separate from and unmentioned on underplex. Basically, an opinion here or linked from here is my opinion.
I might copyedit interviews I do that take place via e-mail to conform to regular style and grammar, though not for meaning, much as I might do if I were simply transcribing what people literally said to me. Also, I might cut and condense material, but not in any way that it would change meaning. I'll do this even for interviews that are published as a question and answer segment, such as Deborah Solomon does in the New York Times Magazine.
I will try to get my facts correct and publish corrections.
That's all that occurs to me for now.
